SYCRotarians worked on Rotary Park along the rail trail in New Freedom. Rotarians weeded, planted new flowers and mulched the area.

Club president Rev John Dorr congratulates Dr Thomas Hensley as being selected "Rotarian of the year".  Dr Hensley has been a Rotarian for 15 years and will retire as superintendent of Susquehannock School District, June 2014.

Dist Gov Dennis Zubler presented, Rotarian Judy Werner with her "Paul Harris" award.  Judy is the 30th Rotarian of the Southern York County Rotary club to receive this prestigious award.

Gov Dennis visits the Southern York Cty Rotary Club, where he spoke to club members and also presented awards.

AG L. Eickles installed SYCRC Rotarian "George Lavery", as the clubs president 2012-2013.  The installation was held at the Lafayette club in York.

Dist 7390 Gov Helen Reddy visited the SYC Rotary Club at its morning meeting on Feb 17.  Gov Reddy complimented the club on its past accomplishments and emphasized the need for recruitment and retention of new members.

SYCRotarians helped support the Salvation Army "Kettle Campaign: on Friday, Dec 16, 2011.  Rotarians Greg Miller and George Lavery "Ring" their bells for donations.

SYCRotary club president Patrick Perry presented checks to library representatives at the club's meeting this morning.  The club sponsors an annual  golf tournament and proceeds are distributed among the local libraries. To date the club has given in excess of $95,000 to local libraries.  Pictured (L to R). Club past president Tom Hensley, congratulates PDG and SYCRotarian Will Kirkpatrick, selected as the club's "Rotarian of the Year", 2010-2011. A charter member of the club, Will served as club president,1994-95 and Distrct 7390 Governor, 2010-2011.

Congratulations to Matt Manning, SYCRClub Rotarian who was selected by the club as its "Rotarian of the Year, 2009 - 2010. A past president of the club, Matt truly exemplifies the Rotary tradition of "Service Above Self". A well deserved award for Matt.

Rotary District 7390 Past Governor Ben Hoover installed 3 new members into the SYCRotary Club at their morning meeting. New members George Lavery, Mike LaHatte, and Jeff Rogers were welcomed into the club by club president Alan Loeser. (L toR) Lavery, Loeser, Lahatte, Hoover,and Rogers.

Congratulations to SYCRC Member, Steve Onifer, for being selected as "Rotarian of the Year" 2008-09! A rare individual, who consistently and selflessly gives of himself without reservation, the club was honored to name Steve as the inaugural receipient of this award.
